To: President Donald Trump, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate
Unite for democratic elections
We, the People, citizens and voters of the United States of America, want to elect representatives who will truly represent us. We want to rid Congress and the White House of the influences of special interests. Corporations don't vote; unions don't vote; religious institutions don't vote. We do, and we want our elected officials to answer first and foremost to us.
To this end we vow:
1) To truly educate ourselves on the candidates, their platforms, and the platforms of other candidates for any and all future political elections before stepping into the voting booth
2) To boycott any candidate who we perceive to receive significant financial support from corporations and/or unions.
If we feel that no corporate/ union-free candidate exists, we pledge to support the candidate(s) with the greatest quantity of citizen financial backers, be they from one of the main parties, or from a third party.
3) To demand complete political financial transparency, both from corporations as assured by the passage and implementation of the Disclose Act, and from candidates themselves.
Signed,
The People of the United States of America

Why is this important?
A democratic government is a reflection of the collective public will. In the US, one of the main factors keeping us from this ideal is the untoward influence of corporations and other non-citizen entities. We don't have to wait for our government to pass campaign finance reform- we can wield our collective power in this presidential election in 2012. Sign and share to take back our democracy.
