Urge Oregon Governor Kate Brown to issue an Executive Order recognizing the Una Tribe of Mixed-Bl...

This Executive Order would recognize the Una Tribe of Mixed-Bloods within the State of Oregon as the first ever Native American MIXED-BLOOD Tribe in the United States. The tribe cannot obtain federal recognition through the Bureau of Indian Affairs because the tribe is a Mixed-Blood Tribe.

Why is this important?

The Native American Mixed-Bloods have been denied their rights to self-determination and identity for hundreds of years in the United States. Let's follow our sister-country, Canada, and recognize this Native American Mixed-Blood tribe. The tribe want NO benefits, lands, grants, or monies whatsoever; simply recognition. President Obama signed the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, thus, by denying the executive order, the Governor is going not only against the President, but the United Nations.

Reasons for signing

  • Everybody deserves recognition, and the Una aren't asking for anything more than that, "recognition." This really shouldn't be an issue. Think about this fact, if it wasn't for our relative, none of us would be here, please acknowledge that. Please do the right thing Governor Brown. Thank You.
  • As a mixed blood member of The Una Tribe, I urge my governor, The Honorable Kate Brown, especially in this current climate of avarice, bias and uncertainty, to do the right and just thing by making a simple gesture, a signature of Goodwill and Love towards those of Us who wish Her nothing but the same. The People's Justice over politics......Peace, Love and Respect!
  • Governor Kate Brown of Oregon Please sign an Executive Order that would recognize our tribe in the State of Oregon as the first recognized Mixed-Blood Tribe in the United States.
