Urge Rep. Sam Graves to support the Voting Rights Act
Representative Graves all citizens of legal age should be encouraged to exercise their Constitutionally granted right to vote and should do so free from any sort of persecution by one political party or the other. We request that you support the Voting Rights Act Amendment brought forth by Representatives Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and John Conyers (D-MI).
Why is this important?
The Voting Rights Act is one of the most important pieces of civil rights legislation Congress has ever passed. Last year's Supreme Court decision weakened critical provisions of it. Right now, Congress can restore those protections by passing this important bill. Rep. Graves should support this effort by cosponsoring and fighting for a strong bill.
