Koch money should not influence what programming airs on public television. I want to see the film "Citizen Koch" aired on PBS, and I ask you to join me in this.
Why is this important?
"Citizen Koch" is a documentary that was pulled from national public television broadcast because it offended David Koch, a major donor to the PBS network. While Koch may be able to hand over millions ($23 million, to be exact, according to Jane Meyer of the New Yorker) for the sake of influence, public television stations should answer to the majority of their donors and viewers--average citizens like you and me. I urge you to join the cause and call for a national television broadcast of "Citizen Koch" on Independent Lens, PBS's Emmy-winning independent documentary showcase.
