To: The 1% and City of Oakland
URGENT: Solidarity with Occupy Oakland Camp
We are the 99% of Oakland and the Bay Area, and we support the Occupy Oakland camp in Frank Ogawa / Oscar Grant Plaza. Parts of the City government claim to support Occupy, but yet are building towards another raid. Occupy Oakland, and specifically the camp, has become a public symbol of both the frustrations with our current system and the hopes for a better future in Oakland, the Bay Area, and the world. If there is an attempted eviction on the camp, we pledge to immediately converge on the plaza to stand in solidarity with Occupy Oakland.
Why is this important?
Together, we can save the camp and keep our focus on the real problem in our communities -- the gross inequality of wealth and power.
