Urging Missouri legislators to pass a law allowing the sale of growlers for off premise consumption

Consumption of craft beer is growing nationally and the sale of growlers allows consumers access to small brewery beers (most of which are unavailable in cans or bottles) at home. In addition, allowing the sale of growlers will increase state revenue and is a "green" alternative to disposable containers.

Why is this important?

Living in rural Missouri limits craft beer enthusiast access to much of what the market has to offer. Allowing retailers and not just licensed breweries to offer the sale of growlers in their stores will provide more access to consumers of craft beer as well as provide retailers an additional source of income. TN and KY already allow retailers to sell and fill growlers and it has been very successful with the retailers.
