The US and Iran should jointly demand an immediate UN Security Council binding Syrian cease fire to facilitate broader humanitarian aide, take custody of existing chemical weapons, halt arms importation, establish all-party regional deliberations, and secure evidence of war crimes against responsible parties.
Why is this important?
To remind the congress, and the president, that forming a more perfect Union begins with the people, and with prudent steps to establish fact, and effective action to deescalate hostility while simultaneously ending and prosecuting criminal humanitarian actions.
