US Rep. Joe Walsh, apologize to Tammy Duckworth

U.S. Rep Joe Walsh (R-IL) has resorted to slandering and insulting Tammy Duckworth, who served in Iraq as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and is now a Democratic candidate for Walsh's seat (IL 8th C.D.), making cruel fun of her war-derived injuries. Tammy Duckworth, who lost both legs and part use of an arm when her gunship was hit by insurgent rocket fire, has gone on to serve as Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Dep't. of Veterans' Affairs, then as Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs. Duckworth is still active in the Illinois National Guard with the rank of Colonel.
Rep. Joe Walsh, by contrast, is a conservative gravy train rider and a child support deadbeat. His treatment of those who have truly served and sacrified shows him a a mean spirited hypocrite, unworthy of serving as a U.S. Representative. We call on U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh to acknowledge Tammy Duckworth's service and sacrifice, and to formally apologize, both to the public and in entry to the Congressional Record, for his reckless, slanderous and debasing remarks about Tammy Duckworth.

Why is this important?

U.S. Rep Joe Walsh (R-IL) has resorted to slandering and insulting Tammy Duckworth, a severely disabled Iraq veteran, high administrator for Veterans' Affairs, and a candidate for Walsh's Congressional seat.We call on Rep. Walsh to apologize for his irresponsible remarks about Tammy Duckworth.
