Comprehensive Immigration Reform legislation to help our economy and the 11 million undocumented has passed in the Senate.
Your Speaker Boehner will invoke the Hastert Rule and not bring this critical bill to the House floor unless you act to ensure that he does. A "piecemeal" approach will not suffice. Half measures will only perpetuate the misery of our undocumented second class tier of citizens who are subject to poor working conditions, below minimum pay, threats, deportation, detention centers, and separated family members. The condition of our present immigration system only serves to benefit the private prison system, detention centers, and employers who take advantage of those folks who are caught in the immigration trap. Say you will do what is moral and economical for our Nation. You either stand with Rep. Steve King (R) IA, or with the reasonable Republican members in the House who understand the vision the Senate immigration bill provides: "A Pathway to Citizenship that Keeps Families together".
Why is this important?
Our Immigration System is broken and must be fixed. The Senate has passed Comprehensive Immigration Reform Legislation that "Provides a Pathway to Citizenship that Keeps Families Together". Now it is up to members of the House to act in the same moral spirit.
