To enhance the discussion of addressing gun violence in our country, the American people demand that those senators who voted down the Manchin Amendment be specific and public as to why they truly believed they should ignore a supermajority of the American people in casting their vote.

The American people were told that the Manchin Amendment would create a gun registry when it specifically received votes from Senators with great NRA ratings because it would prohibit creation of a gun registry.
What were those who voted down the Manchin Amendment really thinking by voting no?
