Value Labor

An adult willing to work should never have to use public assistance to stay above the poverty line. By not paying a living wage unscrupulous employers are pocketing your hard earned tax dollars. Stop this unfair, upward redistribution of wealth and support a minimum wage that properly values all labor.

Why is this important?

The devaluing of labor has created an ever growing population of the working poor. As a society we have established a "poverty line." No employer should be able to so work the system that their employees qualify for public assistance under normal conditions. A minimum wage that is tied to the cost of living is the only answer. The tax dollars saved would dramatically improve this state's ability fund necessary programs, such as schools and infrastructure projects, instead of enriching those individuals or corporations that lobby for keeping the status quo.
