You have publicly recognized the equality of gay employees. At the same time, you are funding an organization that says children of your employees do not deserve to be treated with that same respect and equality.
Please stop your support for the Boy Scouts of America until they treat children with the same respect and opportunity you give to your employees.
Why is this important?
Verizon Communications, Inc., along with the majority of Fortune 500 companies, bans discrimination based on sexual orientation. Yet, the Boy Scouts of America, with Verizon’s financial support, discriminates against countless children of their employees by not allowing them to join the Boy Scouts of America.
