Make Veteran's Day a legitimate holiday for our veterans. Ask your leaders to pass a law saying veterans must be given Veteran's Day off without using paid time off. They earned it!
Why is this important?
Currently only those who work in government or banking positions get the day off. Most veterans who want to take the day off must use paid time off.
As a veteran who honorably served my country for eight years, I feel it's time we get to take the day off, without using vacation time to do so.
