Being a veteran and poor in Charleston is a different story, most cities have a number of agencies, government and state, as well as nonprofit organizations targeted to help veterans and as well as their families.
What does this community have?
A Medicaid recipient can call a number three days in advance and get a ride to any medical appointment.
A veteran cannot, to me this is a disgrace.
The VA Is the largest hospital network in the nation, veterans has access to the best state of the art Medical Technology in the world.
“WHAT GOOD IS GREAT HEALTH CARE, IF YOU CAN’T GET THERE”?
Why is this important?
I'm a veteran, I live in charleston south carolina, i'm also a single parent, disabled, and poor.
I'm both sad and mad at the way society treats the poor especially veterans, being poor has not stopped me from living a life full of experiencess, friendships, laughter, and love.
Being poor has no bearing on intellect, morals, courage, or honor.
