Stop special medical and retirement packages for members of Congress. They should be under the same benefit package as their constituents. Merit raises should be specifically tied to accomplishments for constituents.
Why is this important?
We, as American citizens, want a change in Congress's benefit program.
1. They should not decide their own raises.
2. They should retire with only social security, like their constituents.
3. They should accept medicare or Obamacare for medical insurance.
They need to live and manage the way we are forced to, and be considerate of the people who elect them.
