Victims of Sexual Assault Should Not Have To Face Their Offender In School

Victims and their families should not have to face juvenile sex offenders in their school. Where is their right to a safe public education, and why are juvenile sex offender's rights trumping victim's educational rights?

Why is this important?

I'm an educator and most people are not aware that juvenile sex offenders are allowed to attend school and there's usually nothing the school can do. It is not fair to victims or their families to face this injustice on a daily basis. Washington state has a model policy that enforces this law and I feel that Ohio should join this effort.
