Victoria Soto Childhood Protection Act
We the People do hereby petition President Obama and our Congress to speedily create and enact the Victoria Soto Childhood Protection Act, banning the sale, possession, and use of all assault weapons inside the United States and its Territories, mandating a minimum 10-year prison sentence for violators.
We the People will in this way honor the memory of Victoria Soto, the courageous young woman who died protecting her students from slaughter by a killer using an assault weapon to drill multiple wounds into the little bodies of 20 first-graders at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Why is this important?
Victoria Soto was the courageous young teacher who gave her own life, protecting her students at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
To honor her and the 20 first-grade students who lost their young lives, we are petitioning President Obama and Congress to speedily enact a law to be called the Victoria Soto Childhood Protection Act. This law would ban the ownership, sale, and use of assault weapons inside the United States, and mandate a 10-year prison sentence for offenders.
