I support adding a sin tax to alcohol to generate much needed economic resources to address homelessness, domestic violence and underage drinking prevention programs for our youth.
Why is this important?
The Virgin Islands unlike most states and territories has no sin tax on Alcohol, which is a missed opportunity to generate much needed funding resouces for the territory. Alcohol abuse has contribute to homelessnes, domestic violence and DUI deaths.
