The people want whoever wins the popular vote for the state to win the state. The congressional district electoral plan is highly partisan and does not represent the will of the people. It represents the interests of the GOP. Vote no on SB 723.
Why is this important?
On Tuesday, January 29, 2013 this bill will go to the senate committee. tell the assembly that this is not the will of the people.The Senate bill being introduced, SB 723, by Sen. Bill Carrico (R-Grayson) says that the commonwealth's electoral votes shall be allocated by congressional district. Which means the candidate who wins popular vote does not get all 13 electoral votes. This bill is very partisan and does not represent the will of the people.
