Vision Test for Safety in Hunting

All applicants for a hunting license in the State of California must show proof that they have passed a vision test showing at least 20/40 vision. Documentation that they passed the DMV test within the last six months can be accepted in lieu of a test by the Department of Fish and Game.

Why is this important?

As the recent accident in New England shows, hunters need to show they can see well enough before they are licensed to hunt.
