Please vote "no" on HB 1019, Representative Jerry Torr's attempt to repeal the Common Construction Wage. This bill is an unnecessary attack on workers' wages that will result in poorer quality public construction projects and the loss of millions of dollars in tax revenues.
Why is this important?
I am the son of a union worker, a retired teacher who has worked closely with pro-public education unionized workers, and I am a former elected local official who believes this repeal would be disastrous.
