VOTER RIGHTS
THE CONSTITUTION STATES THAT ALL CITIZENS HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE. THE NEW VOTER REGISTRATION LAWS RECENTLY PASSED VIOLATE THAT RIGHT. THESE LAWS ARE DESIGNED TO REPRESS VOTER RIGHTS BY PLACING UNNEEDED BURDENS ON THE VOTER AND OR THOSE THAT WORK TO REGISTER VOTERS. THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE NEEDS TO STRIKE DOWN THESE LAWS AS THEY DISCRIMINATE THE POOR, THE ELDERLY AND MINORITIES. WHILE THESE LAWS ARE REVIEWED STATE BY STATE, THE D.O.J. NEEDS TO IMMEDIATELY PLACE A HOLD ON THEM AND FORCE THESE STATES TO RETURN TO THEIR FORMER PRACTICES ON VOTER REGISTRATION
BY INDIVIDUALS AND BY ORGANIZATIONS THAT WORK TO HELP REGISTER VOTERS.
BY INDIVIDUALS AND BY ORGANIZATIONS THAT WORK TO HELP REGISTER VOTERS.
Why is this important?
WE NEED TO PETITION THE D.O.J. TO STRIKE DOWN THE DISCRIMINATORY VOTER REGISTRATION LAWS RECENTLY PASSED BY STATES / OR WE NEED THE D.O.J. TO PUT
THESE LAWS ON HOLD UNTIL EACH AND EVERY ONE IS REVIEWED BY THE D.O.J. / AS DISCRIMINATORY VIOLATIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION.
