Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2014
Last year's Supreme Court decision weakened critical provisions of the Voting Rights Act (VRA), eliminating important protections for voters across the country. This act will restore some of those rights. In a democracy, we want as many people voting as possible. We want a bill that will protect everyone's right to vote and will make voting easy for everyone.
Why is this important?
Politicians have used the Supreme Court decision to restrict voting for people who might not vote for them. We want as many people voting as possible, without any obstacles.
