Voting Rights, not Voting Privileges
Pennsylvania's restrictive Voter ID law, passed by Republicans who bragged that it would assure a victory for Mitt Romney in Pennsylvania in 2012, has been struck down by the courts. It is shameful that you have not stepped up to the plate and demonstrated your support for protecting the rights of all Americans to vote, Mr. Shuster. We urge you to support the Voting Rights Amendment of 2014.
Why is this important?
Because blatant efforts to disenfranchise entire groups of citizens is an outrage and offensive. As the petition title states, voting is a RIGHT, not a privilege.
