In the context of the McCleary decision, gridlocked traffic and crumbling infrastructure, we, the undersigned, call on Washington state legislators to enact a progressive income tax policy which accounts for capital gains and focuses the burden on the wealthiest fiew.
Why is this important?
The idea that the wealthiest few so control the legislature as to prevent it from imposing common-sense, data-driven taxation policies is harming the labor force and thereby the chances at Washington state improving economically.
It's past time that the state of Washington enact a progressive income tax.
