I petition the Congress and the President to appoint a Special Prosecutor whose sole purpose would be to investigate, and if necessary bring criminal charges against those working on Wall Street who nearly destroyed out country's economy prior, during and after the Stock Market crash of September, 2008. Those who behaved criminally should be brought to justice as an example of the sort of behavior which will no longer be tolerated in a Free Market economy.
Why is this important?
I believe that incredible damage was done to this country by the irresonsibility that was exhibited by Wall Street prior, during and after the crash of 2008 which nearly took down our entire country's economy. There has not been one person charged, not one grand jury convened and no justice for the many who have suffered the aftershocks of Wall Street Greed.
