Be it resolved that when US forces are committed for a period exceeding 90 days, Congress and the President must enact legislation raising sufficient new tax revenue to pay for the military action. Failure to enact this legislation will necessitate the withdrawal of US forces within 90 days.
Why is this important?
If a cause is worth sending our youth to die for, it's worth writing a check for. Congress must pass a law requiring that for any war lasting longer than 3 months, taxes must be raised to pay for it.
