We on this petition request that the government of the United States of America make a high priority of changing the way elected officials are paid by the people of this Nation and how they raise capital for their campaigns in being elected by the people of this Nation. The system is now set up where our votes count less than our campaign donations, this is not American.
If you do not make this a high priority TODAY, we will make it our priority to elect those who will address this concern. This is our plea as citizens.
Why is this important?
I'd like to send a petition to the White House, Senate and House of Representatives to declare that it is time to reform the way they are paid and how they raise capital for campaigning. Not tomorrow, not after a committee is called to order, or a study is done on the idea. The time is now, they can either hear our plea or we will elect and place people in power who are not on the payroll of a corporation or using private wealth for an unfair advantage. I grow tired of the current debate in the halls of government as I can't tell the true politicians from those who are there to make money at the expense of their fellow citizens.
We on this petition, as but one voice of its many but important none the less, request that the government of the United States of America make a high priority of changing the way elected officials are paid and how they raise capital for their campaigns.
This is our request, will they honor it? Make your voice heard and sign this petition to let the nation know how many of its citizens are tired of a too easily corruptible government being in place. They may ignore us but we won't give up until the system is fixed once and for all.
