Waste of Precious Resources

Of the thousands of receipts you receive how many do you actually need or hold on to? It's ridiculous the amount of paper and energy wasted to produce the paper that is wasted to produce something that almost always ends up in the garbage!
Who needs a receipt for that cup if coffee you get everyday at your local convenience store? Rather than all this waste for the convenience of a few, how much more difficult would it be for a clerk to press a button TO print a receipt? They already ask you if you need one before they senselessly toss it into their overflowing trash bins. This is just one example of an easy remedy to our overuse of our depleting natural resources.
