Stop the partisan fighting that deadlocks our nation and honor the oaths you took as our elected representatives. Fulfill the promise of the American Dream and make the government work for the people again. We deserve--and we expect--better.
Why is this important?
America can be better. This is a promise that my great-granparents passed on to every generation of my family after passing through Ellis Island, straight down to me. But that promise is in danger of being broken-- we have allowed ourselves to expect nothing from ourselves. To stop striving to be better, to reach for not greatness, and avoid not failure, but to hope for mediocrity.
