To: The California State House, The California State Senate, and Governor Gavin Newsom
We don't (heart) WestAmerica
Whereas, the now abandoned dance hall widely known and revered as Little Switzerland may soon be facing destruction by totally indiscriminate, greed-stricken and mindless land-grabbers who financially aggrandize themselves by voraciously buying up distressed businesses and land, in collusion with the predatory bank, WestAmerica, which can write a blank government check to itself for falsely claimed "losses" due to foreclosure, we the undersigned do hereby demand a complete and thorough investigation into WestAmerica's acquisition of Little Switzerland and its real property.
Why is this important?
WrestfromAmerica is a textbook illustration of a predatory take-no-prisoners bank that sinks its talons into local businesses, real property and supposedly "failed" LOCAL banks who, unlike WestAmerica, do serve the locals of a community....one such incident was the strong-arm federal takeover of Sonoma Valley Bank with its three branches in the Sonoma Valley. The federal receivers practically rolled up to the entrance of the beleaguered Hwy 12 branch in tanks that day.
Today, one of the most highly regarded and well known historical landmarks in the entire Sonoma Valley if not the entire State itself, a local drinking and dining establishment that many of us knew and treasured as the Little Switzerland which opened its doors in 1909 and catered to the Old Country polka crowd and did right up to the day that WestAmerica forced its owners into the streets and padlocked the place, has fallen under the axe of usurious parasitism and fraudulent foreclosure practice.
We need to save from the ruthless headache ball of so-called "progress" this almost sole remaining and irreplaceable monument to the early history of the once pristine Sonoma Valley by demanding a complete investigation of PestAmerica's seizure of this old dance hall of the past.
