We must keep Blended Classes at CT State Norwalk!
Dear Administration at CT State Norwalk,
WE MUST KEEP BLENDED CLASS OPTION FOR ALL!
CT State is proposing to eliminate all blended classes, which would affect ESOL,
Foreign languages, Philosophy, Art and other programs.
Blended classes serve many purposes:
1. They are a credit level class that the student can take without earning college credit.
2. Students get a grade and show academic progress, but does not count towards graduation
3. These classes are for anybody who does not qualify for in-state tuition or needs the grade but not college credit.
4. Students can convert to credit by paying price difference within one academic year.
If we end these classes, students might have to pay 3x the price for a class!
We cannot do this to our students!
Norwalk has successfully offered these classes since 2008.
This is a real pathway to earning credit and a degree.
WE ARE PLEADING WITH YOU!
KEEP BLENDED CLASSES FOR ALL!
Why is this important?
We cannot leave students with a large sum of debt. We must keep the enrollment policies the same!
