We Say No to ProctorTrack!
The pandemic that is currently occurring throughout the world has impacted every sector of our societies and our ability as human beings, students, employees and employers. To adjust and adapt to this situation is evidence of our relentless perseverance, resourcefulness, and compassion. One sector that has been hit hard in this adjustment is in education. Students and faculty from Pre-k to college have had to shift from face-to-face learning/teaching to online learning/teaching overnight. And as a result, education platforms and testing platforms have been selected for use with little testing. A few weeks ago, St. George's University students had to pack up, fly out of Grenada and resettle in different parts of the world. We were instructed to continue our studies and that online education would be the new norm. Today, March 30th, 2020, the SOM's Term Five class took an exam written by faculty. We have concluded, after putting ourselves through many hours of U-World and Rx practice questions, that this exam and its questions were not indicative of the USMLE standardized questions. To add to our collective level of anxiety, frustration, uncertainty and fear, today's exam crashed during each block for multiple people in our class. The numbers can and I am sure will be analyzed once the recordings of over 1000 students are replayed to prove just how many students were affected by this issue.
Hence, we write this petition to ask that you stop putting us through these difficult and stressful situations. As a class, we ask that you stop utilizing Proctor Track and instead start working on getting us on the right track to taking NBME standardized exams. Proctor Track has proven to be an inefficient software that is not capable of providing us as students the testing experience that we deserve to have and we ask that you search out a better, more efficient software that does.

Why is this important?
Our well being, mental health and USMLE step 1 scores depend on this.
