We, as a nation, re-elected President Barack Obama. One of his Core positions was that those making more than 300k per year should not get tax breaks extended. I want policymakers to take note and stick to this even if it means taking us over the cliff. When we lie broken and bloodied at the bottom, the President will have even more leverage over the Republican hard-liners. I am willing to personally take that risk.
Why is this important?
Sign this petition and encourage allowing the fiscal cliff deadline to hit, and the President's re-election promise to allow the Bush-era tax breaks for the wealthy to expire. The deadline draws near, December 31, 2012. This may take sacrifice on the part of middle class citizens, but it is past time to stand our ground.
