We believe Washington should continue to be a state that welcomes those seeking refuge from terror, war, and persecution. We urge you to stand up for Washington values and welcome Syrian refugees, regardless of where they are from and what religion they practice.
Why is this important?
Every family has a right to a safe place to call home. Unfortunately, 4 million people, including many children and elderly, are displaced by war torn Syria. Gov. Jay Inslee has voiced his support for the refugees, but some others want to close our doors. We urge him and the entire legislature to stand by our values of compassion and inclusion and continue to welcome those seeking refuge to our state.
