Why is this important?
Wells Fargo has invested $467 million in the Dakota Access Pipeline. The pipeline threatens the water supply and way of life of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota. Now, amid worldwide outcry over the pipeline, tribal leaders and allies are calling on Wells Fargo to divest from the pipeline--or the people will pull their money from Wells Fargo.
