The United States of American is a country where all people are created equal. This should include our elected representatives. They should not be afforded a better, or more special, retirement and health care package than the citizens who elected them.
Why is this important?
To pass a national law/amendment that none of our elected representative serving in government should receive a retirement, or health care benefits, that is better than what the citizens of the United States receive when they retire. If such an amendment was added to our Constitution it would give the Congress and Senate the incentive to save Social Security and Medicare. This is one item every voter would agree on, except politicians of course.
