White House Meeting on Highly Classified Information in Russia Probe Must Be Bipartisan

The White House has arranged a meeting this Thursday where ‘highly classified and other information’ will be shared with members of Congress.

Today, the White House Press Secretary announced that the participants will include House Intel Chair Devin Nunes, House Oversight Chair Trey Gowdy, FBI Director Christopher Wray, DNI Director Dan Coats, and DOJ’s Ed O’Callaghan.

No Democrats are invited to this highly irregular and inappropriate meeting.

The president and his staff should not be involved in the viewing or dissemination of sensitive investigatory information involving any open investigation, let alone one about the President's own activities and campaign, and with members of Congress like Devin Nunes who was part of the transition team present.

We demand that if this meeting takes place, it must be bipartisan.

As Senator Chuck Schumer stated, "It must be bipartisan in order to serve as a check on the disturbing tendency of the president’s allies to distort facts and undermine the investigation and the people conducting it.”

Why is this important?

March for Truth campaigns for urgency and transparency in the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and the role that Donald Trump, his campaign, family, and aides played in it.
