Why we should recall Delegate Bob Bell

Delegate Bob Bell tabled (killed) a bill that passed the Senate 29 to 6. The bill would "prohibit any person who is convicted of stalking, sexual battery, or assault and battery of a family member involving the use of force from possessing, transporting, or carrying a firearm or any other weapon for a period of 5 years following his conviction. CONVICTION! Come on folks.

Why is this important?

To me this is simply common sense. How can anyone find fault with a bill that would restrict a person CONVICTED of the crimes outlined in the bill from possessing, transporting, or carrying a firearm for 5 years. Unless of course that legislator (those legislators) are owned by the NRA.
