Women Deserve Clean Water

For millions of women and girls around the world, access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education can mean the difference between health and sickness, safety and violence, and days spent working or learning in school and days spent gathering water for their families.

To ensure access to water, sanitation, and hygiene education, I support the Paul Simon Water for the World Act of 2013. I hope you will too.

Why is this important?

I've seen firsthand what a difference easy access to clean water and sanitation can make in the lives of women and girls around the world. Without it, they are sicker, less safe, and (for girls) less likely to be in school.

New legislation in Congress, The Water for the World Act of 2013, could greatly expand access to these vital services. Please sign Women Thrive Worldwide's petition and urge your Representative to support it.
