We urge Gov. Matt Mead to join those states which commit to the agreements currently negotiated with the world through the Paris Climate Accord. As a leader among fossil fuel states, we should show leadership by pursuing policies that firmly protect our environment even as the state benefits from extraction industries.
Why is this important?
Traveling through Wyoming, we can see the damage done when our extraction industries are not pursuing strong environmental practices as a part of their business model. We can do better, for Wyoming and the world.
