The Election and Lobbying Amendment prohibits any gift of any nature to a candidate for public office and prohibits any gift of any nature from lobbyists, individuals, organizations, companies, etc.
to candidates, elected officials or government employees. Elections shall be based on platforms readily available on government websites, TV, radio and in publications. The prohibition of any exchange of gifts to elected officials does not prohibit the exercise of Freedom of Speech to voice opinions on governmental issues.
Why is this important?
This amendment is to restore and maintain, indefinitely, representational democracy.
