Help keep the doors of legally registered medical dispensaries open.

Why is this important?

In an LA City Council meeting on July 24, 2012, they voted 14-0 to shut down and ban medical marijuana dispensaries, including those that are law-abiding, legally registered shops. "Under the ban, medical patients and their caregivers will be able to grow and share the drug in small groups of three people or less." (Los Angeles Times). Unfortunately, according to one dispensary, maintenance and equipment for growing average about $5,000.

Thousands of Angelinos rely on medical marijuana to help alleviate symptoms of weight loss (due to disease or cancer treatments), depression, insomnia, anxiety, stress, and many other ailments. These dispensaries are the source of relief for these people in a society where medicine can cost more than a week's worth in meals. They adhere to strict guidelines and policies as mandated by the city in order to maintain their registry as a caregiver, and are law-abiding businesses.

Please sign your name and help this cause. If not for yourself, then for someone you know whose life quality is even just the slightest bit easier through the relief that comes from medical marijuana and the law abiding caregivers that provide them. Thank you.
