Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist of the Roses on PlayStation 5

Dear Sony Interactive Entertainment Team,

   I am a longtime PlayStation fan and proud owner of a PS5, writing to respectfully petition for the addition of the beloved classic Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses to the PlayStation 5 ecosystem.

   This game holds a special place in the hearts of many Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. Its unique grid-based dueling system, fusion mechanics, historical Wars of the Roses theme, and roster of iconic characters offered a fresh twist on the card game that still stands out today. It was a commercial success, earning Greatest Hits status, and continues to inspire nostalgia, fan discussions, Let’s Plays, and even fan remake projects years later.

   Currently, PS5 players have access to modern Yu-Gi-Oh! titles like Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and Legacy of the Duelist, but many of us miss the early 2000s PS2-era gems like The Duelists of the Roses (and its spiritual predecessor, Forbidden Memories). Adding it to PlayStation Plus Classics(through enhanced PS2 emulation) or as a standalone digital purchase would:

•  Delight a dedicated fanbase and attract new players discovering classic Yu-Gi-Oh! games.

•  Strengthen the PS Plus value proposition by expanding the retro library with cult favorites.

•  Honor Konami’s legacy titles while leveraging PS5’s backward compatibility features.

   I understand licensing and development involve Konami as the rights holder, but Sony has successfully added many PS2 classics to PS Plus. A simple emulation port or partnership could make this happen without a full remake.
