Ayanna Pressley for Massachusetts

As we know from recent times, Senate retirements may come in a flash. We saw it recently with two distinguished public servants in Michigan's Gary Peters and Minnesota's Tina Smith. Anything can happen.
In that case, we need to be prepared if it does. That is why I support this draft campaign for an Ayanna Pressley 2026 senatorial campaign.
Congresswoman Pressley is a distinguished public servant who has served on the Boston City Council and in the United States House of Representatives. She also served as a Senate staffer for John Kerry two decades ago.
She also is an established leader on a variety of causes, from healthcare and education to the climate crisis and job creation, and reproductive rights and gun violence. She especially has led the way on transit justice & affordability, as well as addressing the legacy of mass incarceration and past criminal justice policies. Her impactful legislation is plentiful since first coming to Congress in 2019, and her consistent advocacy on the issues, especially during times of crisis such as the George Floyd protests, is telling of what she offers to the Senate.
Additionally, as a longtime Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren ally, Ayanna Pressley would be a fitting successor to either one of them in the Senate.
We must be ready if Senator Ed Markey, another distinguished public servant, decides to retire, and especially if Congressman Jake Auchincloss, a former Republican, corporate Democrat, and ally of the pharmaceutical drug companies, decides to run for the seat. That is why we need a hero and champion in Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley.

Why is this important?
Massachusetts has an iconic and important role in progressive leadership, which needs to continue in the Trump era.
