BAN AR-15 AMMUNITION
Almost every week the nation learns of yet another horrific gun slaughter of innocent people. Congress has been reluctant to tackle the issue by banning high powered semi-automatic assault style rifles to the public and the result has been tragic. Instead, we would like to offer a different solution: Ban the ammo. By enacting a nationwide ban on the specific ammunition used in these weapons of choice of America's mass murderers, those guns will become useless, and eventually they will disappear from our streets. The majority of Americans would like these military-style weapons removed from the public. This is how you do it.
Why is this important?
The American people are seeing these mass murders come closer and closer to where we live. We also see a government that is reluctant to take strong but necessary steps to end this problem, mostly because of an adherence to the 2nd Amendment. We often hear the cry "They will be coming to take our guns away!" But this reluctance to act is resulting in bloodshed and innocent lives lost. Banning from the general public the bullets and magazines that are used in AR-15, AK-17, clones and other multi-round, rapid-fire firearms will significantly bring down the number of these incidents without infringing on the rights of Americans to own these guns, because it is the BULLETS that kill, not the guns themselves. We are offering a practical solution. It is time for our elected officials to do the right thing.
