Todd Blanche is not only a Donald Trump loyalist, but he was also his personal lawyer. Blanche has spent years defending Trump—he represented him in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial, when Trump was accused of hoarding classified documents, and in his role in election interference.
The failure to provide transparency into the release of the Epstein files was one of the breaking points of his poor leadership. The DOJ wasn’t concerned about bringing justice for survivors—instead, Blanche personally interviewed Epstein co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell and moved her into a minimum-security prison.6
