Bring arena back in SoT
Sea of thieves is the best pirate game in existence. Its runners up are black flag, Sid meier’s pirates and Under the Jolly Roger. Sea of thieves is a triple A pirate game, it did have a feature that was removed though and would boost it’s popularity and satisfaction value up.
Why is this important?
Arena was a game mode where 5 ships (sloops or gallons that all had equal amounts of supply’s) all fought each other to try and earn silver. There was a lot of ways silver could be earned and one way lost, they are:
Killing an enemy player, hitting an enemy ship, sinking an enemy ship, digging up chests in the arena and turning in said to sea dog reps in the arena. Then you could loose silver by sinking. The goal was to have he most silver at the end of the time limit.

This game mode has been removed from the game for a long time because it didn’t have enough popularity. Now after years of no way to have good pvp Rare gave us the hourglass. With the hourglass you either enter match making to find another ship with an hourglass to fight or you put it up so that other people can find try and fight you. The problem with the hourglass (even though it is the “solution” to no arena/pvp) is that all the battles are 1v1s. Theres no free for all with this. And furthermore, silver was removed so there’s no alternate way to winning like digging up, turning in and defending chests.
Another frustrating thing with the removal of arena was that and entire faction was removed from the game. Sea dogs was a faction could be used to get pirate legend and could be leveled up like all other factions. They got rid of it. Now anything earned from it is just a keepsake from the past and people like me who were waiting until they were pirate legend to level up arena missed out on an entire part of the game. One of my best memories from my younger ages was getting on with my old friends and playing arena and just having so much fun. We need arena freed people, for the good of the sea of thieves.
