Bring back P 0 0 P Games

In today’s turbulent times, everyone needs a laugh. Too often we turn to social media for a quick hit of humor. But a mid-doom scroll chortle to one’s self doesn’t match the shared experience of watching the Phillies play the Pirates with friends and family and pointing to the starting scorebug with a smile. And then giggling together.
Even better is watching with someone not yet in on the joke.
“Hey, check out the score,” you might say wryly.
“What? No runs yet…” they respond.
“Yeah, but… read it…” And they squint for a second as you watch it dawn on them. And they laugh. And you laugh. And you share a little moment together.
By changing the scoreboard format from one that makes “P 0 0 P” possible to a much more boring format, NBC Sports Philadelphia and its ultimate parent Comcast are robbing families and friends of life’s greatest gift - the gift of laughter.
Please change the scorebug format back to the prior format. Don’t take this away from us.
