BUILD A MEMORIAL DEDICATED TO ROBERT F. KENNEDY and RFK STADIUM.

It is past time to build a permanent memorial to Robert F. Kennedy, and the stadium that bore his name. A truly “respectful measure” to honor and pay tribute to the late Robert F. Kennedy, and to memorialize the D.C. Stadium and the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium at the same time, would be to build an interactive, memorial library and museum: the RFK Democracy Center and Stadium Museum. It would, ideally, be located on the grounds of RFK Campus, in Washington, D.C.
The memorial would be a place where DMV residents, visitors, tourists, researchers, and others, could learn about the life of Robert F. Kennedy, and the impact he had on our nation and the world. It would also include a complete history of D.C. Stadium and Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium, the teams that played there, and the many other events held there, from the years 1961 thru 2017.
It is the right and proper thing to do. Create a place to learn about the man and the stadium. The Washington Commanders and the District of Columbia government have the power to make this project become a reality. It is time for these parties to act!
Why is this important?
It would add cultural, educational and historical elements to the campus, and would serve as a major destination point for all. RFK Stadium is gone. Now is the time to preserve, for future generations, the rich history and togetherness that this beloved structure produced.
